Little "xiu kiong" on the bus (Part II)
My room mate was complaining for uploading an ugly photo of her as "Xiu Kiong"Killer. So here, I captured a new, nice looking, photo at Ibu Kitchen.
Remember her face! Next time, if you have problem with "xiu kiong", do make a call to:

Little "xiu kiong" on the bus
I was having my Ginger Onion Chicken rice on the bus this afternoon.
When I was munching my lunch happily, innocently on my seat...
Suddenly, a creature flew by and stop on my lap..
.
...
......
..........
You must be expecting me to scream my heart out. I'm NOT afraid of "Xiu Kiong" (cockroach), Okay?! I dissected its friend cruely in my Biology class when I was in Form Five (Daniel stole the frog that I brought to school and made me no choice but to play with the dirty little "xiu kiong".)
Steadily, I swept it away from my lap. (I was so scared that it would fly into my lunch!)
It ended up stopping on the curtain of the bus..
If I wasn't having my lunch, you must have died on my hand already!
By the way, I only bully little "xiu kiong" but not adult "xiu kiong". Here I would like to introduce you the real "xiu kiong" killer!
Drum, Please!

Family Gathering
Yesterday, my mum called and told me that a family gathering party will be held on Mother's day. I couldn't remember since when my family started to have the gathering? The family gathering has now become a yearly event. They normally have the gathering on either Mother's day or Father's day and Moon Cake Festival.
It's always held at my 2nd aunt's house where every families will bring one or two dishes to the gathering. Well, they are all the family of my mum's siblings.
I kind of like the gathering in my teen as that's the time I can meet with my cousins. But lately I found that the gathering is dull and bored. Those cousins who are in their twenties are all male! Now they have their girl friends to talk to during the gathering. Even if they don't have one, I still have the difficulty to start a conversation with them.
Well, there are plenty female cousins, but the eldest is only 17! The rest are all under age. How am I going to communicate with a 17-year-old girl? I already found there's a big gap between me and my little brother, who is 21 years old. Since the 17-year-old girl likes children, she always occupies herself taking care of my aunts' children. (Sigh, it isn't my fault for not helping her out, kay. I think the children are scared of me as they cried and cried when I tried to approach them.)

I always end up staying with my mum and listening to the adult conversation. (Am I pathetic?)
However, it's undeniable that the family gathering has beneficial effects on the family relationship. It could be a dull party to me but I cherish the moment to be with them. Moreover, there are a lot of tasty food!

Yahoo! The viva is over!
Wow! I'm so happy! My viva was finally over and now I'm in Negeri Sembilan again (Am I insane?! muahaha...)
I was expecting there would be a lot of correction that I need to do in my thesis after viva. But, there were only minor mistakes!
This is the picture taken before viva.
When I reached the Tutorial Room, my lab mate was presenting his findings. As I expected, (start from the left) Prof. N (My supervisor), Dr. RA and Dr. R were in the room.
I was nervous sitting down there while Hasleen was presenting. She was unlucky as Prof. N was her examiner. Her supervisor, Dr. RA was shaking her head during Q&A session. Oh, if my supervisor also shake his head during my presentation, I'll be very disappointed.
Once I finished with the acknowledgement, Dr. R said,
' You used my chemical things but never thank me..'
' Oh, sorry.. I would like to thank Dr. R for ...'
' Oh...It's too late..'
(God! Will this affect my performance?)
Well, neither Dr. R nor Dr. RA was my examiner. My examiner was Dr. Has, whom I never met before. My friends and I were shocked when she came into the tutorial room before my turn.
I was lucky as she only asked me three questions which were quite general.
1. ' I saw you used unculturable and uncultivatable in your thesis, which one is more suitable to describe microorganisms?'
2. 'What did you mean by direct DNA extraction?'
3. ' Can you determine the existence of the microorganisms in the environment by only extracting the DNA from the soil?'
I was still waiting for the next question when she said 'That's all..'
When I was in her room, she told me that, ' You have only minor mistakes in your thesis. I think (you think?) you have done a good job. (Do you mean I deserve an A?) Actually I'm not a professional in your topic, but I'm happy reading your thesis. I've learnt new things from you.
(Really? Do you mean that I am good?)
With that, I went back to my hostel happily.
Yahoo! Seremban, I'm coming again!
Is Spidey losing its magic?
Got a glimpse of Spider Man 3 on it's premier day, wohoo...i'm ahead than a lot of you, haha. The third installation of this successful title, does it live up to the high expectation? The answer from me is: NO.
The 3 villians in this sequel (sand man, venom and junior goblin) add up also cannot fight doc oktopus (from the second episode). Maybe sometimes more is just not equal to good.
I think the story also kinda drag a lot, i actually get very bored at the very end of the show hoping that it'll end soon and i wanna have my dinner which i didn't feel in the previous 2 episode...some of the minor things in the story also get pretty annoying like spidey has endless spare masks in his 'secret pocket' that he can just simply change it in the hit of the battle. The cops also look like small kids standing there cheering for spiderman, what the heck is this? trust me, Tobey is not even convincing trying so hard to act like a bad boy...
okay, actually it's not that bad, it's still pretty worth your money to watch it in cinema! it's just that it's not as good as the previous 2 episodes. The spidey magic is still on, i'm sure there will be a fourth in the near future...
