Terry Fox Run 2007 KL

Diagnosed to have osteosarcoma at the tender age of 18, Terry Fox had to have his right leg amputated and was given a prosthesis (artificial leg). He was touched by his fellow cancer suffering patients while he was in the hospital.
3 years later, at the age of 21 the chap decided to run the marathon of hope to raise the public awareness and funds for research on cancer. He planned to run across Canada at the pace of 42km (standard marathon distance) per day. Sadly, he couldn't finish the run after 143 consecutive days (he ran about 5373km by then) when his health condition couldn't allow him to continue any further. He died shortly after just one month before he reached 23 . Currently this run is an international event that is being held every year in multiple cities to raise fund for cancer research.

imagine...running 42 km for 143 days CONTINUOUSLY with a PROSTHETIC LEG! This make me ashame of myself...sigh

In KL, the event will be held on:

Date of The Run: 4th November 2007

Flag Off: 9 am

Venue: Taman Tasik Perdana (Lake Gardens)

as you can see...there's no advertisment on the T-shirt (unlike those from Penang Marathon 2007 which has sponsors over every inch of the shirt), this is as accordance to Terry Fox's wish of not seeking fame or fortune for the event...so yes, this shirt is as clean as it gets!

You can support the charity event by joining the run and buy a t-shirt from them at the price of RM25. You can always donate extra if you want.
OK, I also wanna run! I need to train for marathon as well (the distance is 6.5km - should hardly be a problem), but I don't think I can make it to KL this weekend. Well, so who else is going?
Seriously, if Terry Fox can do it with one amputated leg, what excuse can you have for not running 6.5km? (ok, my excuse is i'm in Batu Pahat...lame, i know...)
You can get more info here.

Don't buy Modernas!

Today was a bitch. I went to do some banking and when i was done and wanted to start my motorbike, the whole steel bar (used to start the engine, I dunno what is it called) detached! wtf? I couldn't even start the bike now. Ended up pushing the bike like an idiot around the town in search of a repair shop. Luckily, found a car exhaust pipe shop and the owner put in a new nut and welded it. Presto, it's good as new, actually, it's better! I dunno whether it's me or not, but now it felt like my motorbike is a whole lot easier to start! Previously i couldn't get it started without a few forceful kicks (which i think it's the reason why the whole damn thing came out today), but now with only one kick...my little black beast (pardon me for the self indulgence) roared to life! Fuck, after 2 years and RM4 bucks (for the repair), now only I know that this is the source of the damn problem!

motherfucker, how the hell can this happen???

Hopefully when i start my beast tomorrow, the bliss of getting it started with one gentle kick remains there...touch wood...

Besides, received my second birthday present (the first one being the running gear i got in Hari Raya by my mum) today from Su Lin! I dunno who got the mail today for me, but he must feel damn disgusted by the intimate nature of the wrapper, muahaha.... anyway, thanks honey, I love it!

*image purposely blurred...told u is intimate!*

a Malaysiano maid

My brother, Anson, was busy renovating his shop last week. There, a helpful Malaysiano maid came over and offered her help on painting for FREE!! Anson, in a great shock, doubted her capability.

The maid was so mad and proved him that she can PAINT!

See, she is so hardworking painting the wall.

Let's take a closer look on her. She coloured her foot too!

She was doing the work happily until the clock pointed at 9 in the evening...

She started implying Anson to drive her home by drawing circle, instead of painting, at the corner of the room..

After making noise for almost half an hour, she left Anson no choice but to drive her home..

HOORAY!HOME!HOME!

Malaysian's First Space Flight Participant...

After spending RM1 billion to send this bugger up into space as a 'flight participant' (mind you, it's not ASTRONAUT) on 10/10/07, what have we achieve? what should we be proud of exactly? i'm puzzled...

Some said that this is a proof that our technology advancement is far greater than a lot of other countries...but, is it?
beside providing a 'candidate' and RM1 billion (0f course, this is the most important, you think those russians are sohai?), i don't see any other contribution (especially from the technological point of view) from our part in making this foolish achievement a possibility...

Furthermore, they are now talking about sending the second bugger (DrFaiz Khaleed) up space, wtf is this? I'm speechless...

I think those money should be better spent somewhere rather than to just serve to boost our national ego which is meaningless if we really don't have the substance. They can start by buying a colonoscope for Hospital Batu Pahat, i shit you not, we don't even have a colonoscope here! P/s: if you have any acute abdomen, pls stay away from this hospital or you'll most probably end up with a laparatomy which serve as their primary diagnostic tool here! you are warned! Seriously, stop this nonsense and start with basic thing like health care, education and safety first before we start to talk about exploring the space...gzz...even a primary school child can tell you which is more important to the country.

if you are proud of this 'malaysia first astronaut' thing, you seriously need a reeducation! your mind have been seriously fucked up by our shitty education system!
